Two skilled rugby players from Durham School, Sam G and Patrick H, have been chosen for an England Under-18s training camp.

Assistant coach Will Parkin, who is overseeing his first full camp since joining the RFU, emphasised the camp's goals in an interview with Newcastle Falcons: "In the upcoming days, we'll be focusing on improving our SAS principles (Speed, Attachment, Space) and challenging these young athletes to enhance their fundamental skills. Our aim is to send them back to their respective clubs as better players."

Parkin also expressed gratitude to the dedicated coaches and teachers who have played a crucial role in providing these promising talents with invaluable rugby experience. Durham School's nurturing environment and guidance have significantly contributed to the development of these two players.

Sam G shared his reflections on his journey, saying, "Since I joined for Sixth Form, Durham School has deeply focused on my rugby. I get to participate in rugby activities every week, including multiple matches and training sessions, which has made the game more enjoyable and has contributed to my personal growth as a player."

He continued, "Since I started at Durham School, I've noticed a significant boost in my confidence, an increased enjoyment of the sport, and improvements in my game."

The inclusion of Sam G and Patrick H from Durham School in this prestigious camp underscores the school's commitment to nurturing top-tier rugby talent and highlights the exceptional opportunities offered within the Durham School Rugby Pathway. As these emerging stars continue to develop, the future of English rugby looks brighter than ever.
