This week Year 2 have been presenters! Over this half term the children have planned and edited Power Point presentations based on topics they feel they are experts in. Topics ranged from ‘Duck Tales’ to dogs, and from Spiderman to Basketball! The children then used their presentations to talk to the class and answered any questions. They were very impressive! Reception have enjoyed playing the ‘Race to Zero’ game in Mathematics. This helped the children to understand the concept of fewest, to recognise quantities and subtraction, all while having lots of fun! Year 1 had a great time making ‘dinosaur poo’ in this week’s Science lesson! The children gathered natural materials from outside and followed instructions to make their own ‘poo’ to then investigate what dinosaurs would have eaten. The children could then classify if dinosaurs would have been carnivores, herbivores or omnivores. The children then baked it to turn it into a fossil and wrote their own instructions on how to make ‘dinosaur poo’ in English. Pre School have continued to look at Castles, Dragons and Knights this week. They made split pin knights and enjoyed a yoga session all about a dragon!
