Pre-Prep and Pre-School have enjoyed lots of poetry this week while celebrating the National Day of Poetry. 

Pre-School read ‘Each Peach Pear Plum’ and explored the nursery rhyme characters which they had spotted. 

Reception have been very creative this week creating their own masterpieces influenced by Henri Matisse.

Year 1 wrote a rhyming poem about ‘What the Witch Saw’ linking the theme of ‘vision’ to ‘Room on the Broom’.

Year 2 read and wrote poems in every lesson; they sang number rhymes and then wrote their own for the younger children in Mathematics.
