Throughout November Microsoft encouraged as many pupils as possible in the UK to research, build and create sustainable living spaces using Minecraft: Education and Adobe Spark. The workshop will take place on Thursday 25th November in our IT suites.
Miss Buist, the Head of Digital Learning at Durham School, said:
The afternoon will give pupils the opportunity to research and develop innovative and creative solutions to the real-world problem of providing sustainable housing. There are now growing global concerns about the impact of climate change, population growth and consumption of the world's resources. Our pupils will be at the forefront of solving these problems when they leave school. The STEM will help combine the skills and knowledge gained in the classroom and apply them to real life situations.
In a world where digital technology is increasingly becoming the norm, it is great that our pupils are welcoming the chance to develop their skills.
